“Having the freedom to build a class around the questions and cares most dear to me, within a community of students deeply interested in finding meaning in their education has been one of the most rewarding experiences of my teaching career. I feel re-enlivened by the authenticity with which each student has joined their attention with humanity’s most enduring questions. The sense of purpose, curiosity, and openness that accompanies each class is testament to the foundational goals of the Teagle vision. The interdisciplinary approach of these courses has helped me to widen the scope of my own practice and has reminded me that the University is strongest when anchored in authentic community, collaboration, and care. I owe a deep debt of gratitude to the Teagle Foundation for creating opportunities and experiences that invite us to understand ourselves as true students of the world brought together over a shared question.”
